Music always seemed to calm him, no matter how he was feeling. Hearing it just made him forget everything and just play. It was one of the many reasons as to why he loved music. Listening to it, and playing it. Besides, he was able to portray how he was feeling through his music. Whether he was sad or angry or just happy. He could portray it with any instrument he played; the guitar, the violin, or the piano. His mother was considering giving him a wind instrument as well, like the flute or clarinet. Aiden never tried playing those types of instruments before, but he would consider it. Whether it was ‘girly’ or not, he was willing to try.[/color][/i] he thought, not even stopping in his playing.
'The best thing ’bout tonight’s that we’re not fighting. Could it be that we have been this way before…' he sang the lyrics in his head as he strummed his guitar. He’d been playing it for a while now, but only random notes that came to his head, usually slow, calming tunes. For some reason, the song suddenly popped into his head, and he figured that he might as well play it. He liked playing to songs though, because it always seemed to brighten his mood. Especially when he added his own twist to the song, just to make it his version.
"I always swore to you I’d never fall apart. You always thought that I was stronger." he sang softly, in tune with his guitar playing. This song in particular, Aiden liked to play. Mainly because he thought it showed his parent’s relationship. Not his father and step-mother. But his father and his real mother. They still wouldn’t tell him anything about their divorce, or his father’s remarriage, but Aiden wasn’t going to give up. He needed to know why his happy family suddenly broke apart. Why he separated from his sister, his mother; and why, when they so clearly still loved each other, his parents had split up. It was a question that he held onto ever since the divorce. Ever since he was seven years old. He knew they would have been happier together; and it would’ve been better for Solana if they stayed together anyways; so why would they decide to split up? He knew his father didn’t love his stepmother. Not like he loved his mother.
"I may have failed, but I have loved you from the start. Oh, but hold your breath." he continued, getting lost in his music and thoughts. He wouldn’t have noticed if someone had come up behind him. Not until they made themselves known. He never really cared if it happened; it never really affected him, not even if they were to insult him. Why should he care what other people had to say, when they knew nothing about him? Continuing to strum his guitar, Aiden looked out towards the lake. The afternoon sun seemed to make the lake shimmer and twinkle with unseen jewels. It was pretty. 'un tutto carino scena1'
"Because tonight will be the night that I will fall for you, over again. Don’t make me change my mind." he stopped singing, and only continued strumming for a few more moments. After those moment passed he stopped and sighed. It really did fit his parent’s relationship. His father was still enamored with his mother, and he could see the love grow deeper. He wasn’t sure if he mother noticed it, but he father never loved her more than he does currently. At least, Aiden supposed that was it. His father never loved her any less, of that he was sure. So, he just sat there, near the lake, staring out into the sky that rivaled his eyes. 'Why did they split up?'
1 un tutto carino scena - a very pretty scene
